Florida police officer wrangles 12-foot python

It wasn’t just another mundane day on the job for one Florida police officer Thursday night.

The Pembroke Pines Police department received word of a 12.5-foot Burmese python slithering around a neighborhood just on the edge of the Everglades, and officer Joseph Cabrera was the lucky officer on call.

Cabrera responded to the scene and captured the massive snake. He then took it to the police department until a licensed python remover arrived.

The video was posted to Twitter early Friday morning and had been seen over 2,000 times by early afternoon.
