Arizona Foundation donates defibrillators to OVPD
Twelve Automatic External Defibrillators were given to the Oro Valley Police Department by the Steven M. Gootter Foundation.
The Steven M. Gootter Foundation concentrates on sparing lives lost to sudden cardiovascular passing through mindfulness, instruction and examination.
The foundation president, Andrew Messing, stressed that sudden cardiovascular passing is the main reason for death in the United States and more than 335,000 lives are lost every year.
The Oro Valley Police Department serves more than 41,000 occupants of the town and will surely be better equipped for emergency situations with this generous donation from the Steven M. Gootter Foundation.
