POSA Shop With a Cop

Time flies, it’s almost the holiday season and that means its time to Sign-up for POSA’s Christmas “Shop with a Cop.” This will be our 12th Annual event and every year it grows a little more.

For those that are unfamiliar with CHRISTMAS “SHOP WITH A COP,” we pair up 300 Law Enforcement professionals with 300 UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS for a big breakfast at CHAPARRAL SUITES with games and a raffle and then send everyone to WAL-MART ON NORTHSIGHT BLVD for a Christmas shopping trip. Each child gets $150 to spend anyway the want with the help of an officer to get them some clothes and needed items. (The money is raised by POSA from local residents and businesses.) It’s a great event that stays with you all year.

In fact Christmas “Shop with a Cop” has been so popular that several years ago we started a second event, TEEN “SHOP WITH A COP.”
This program is geared towards Teens that don’t just have a need to go, but we also look for those teens that are leaders and mentors and
often give up their spot for someone else. This year we are increasing our Teen “Shop with a Cop” to 100 TEENS. This program takes place at SCOTTSDALE FASHION SQUARE MALL. Again we start out with a breakfast for the Teens and Law Enforcement AT 8:30AM, then each teen is given a $150 gift card and 2 hours to spend it all at Fashion Square.

Who can participate? Any Law Enforcement employee can participate, sworn or civilian. If you don’t have a uniform to wear just be sure to
wear something that identifies you as Law Enforcement. There will be 14 agencies participating.
